Leakage Detection System

October 2013

Another leakage detection system for an anaerobic digestion lagoon was installed and commissioned by the lining division. The system was again designed by Enviroseal’s technical department and approved by the Environment Agency prior to installation. The two layered geosynthetic system, which included a 2mm HDPE geomembrane, incorporated a network of pipes and a monitoring point.

Other projects for Enviroseal this month have included the installation of a lagoon liner on the site of a new build Energy from Waste plant in the North East for one of the UK largest waste management companies, geomembrane installation for a digestiate lagoon in Devon and several landfill capping projects across the country. Work also commenced on the installation of a lining system for a new waste water treatment reed bed in West Sussex.

Enviroseal have also been instructed to supply and install a floating cover to a lagoon in Grimsby. This follows on-going work on the same site where Enviroseal have lined the lagoon and tank bund for the anaerobic digestion tanks.
